Rising T1DE Alliance

Members & Partners

RT-02

Member Organizations

  • Implementation Members: These are diabetes care centers that have implemented or are in the process of implementing the D-Data Dock and related technologies that support data-driven, patient-centered care. These members are committed to implementing RTA's D-Data Dock technology and adopting the Rapid Learning Lab concept including the design of PDSA cycles/interventions and the sharing of associated outcomes. Implementation membership is contingent on both the availability of funding, and the  capacity of the RTA teams to support implementation.

  • Learner Members: These are diabetes care centers that are interested in learning more about the work of the Rising T1DE alliance and are interested in developing similar capabilities but are not yet ready to implement.

  • Observer Members: These are organizations such as payors, accountable care organizations  (ACO), Clinically Integrated Networks (CIN), as well as national standards bodies and related government agencies (NCQA, ASTP) who have an interest in learning how the D-Data Dock and the Rapid Learning Lab methodology can support value-based care models and population health  management.

  • Research Members: These are organizations that collaborate with the RTA leads and implementation sites on research projects that leverage RTA data, technology, and methods.

Our Partners

At the heart of the Rising T1DE Alliance (RTA) is a network of dedicated partners working together to revolutionize Type 1 diabetes care. Together, we’re reimagining diabetes management through pioneering technologies and shared knowledge that empower healthcare organizations to deliver transformative care.

Some of our key partnerships include:

T1D Exchange: The T1D Exchange (T1DX) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving outcomes for individuals with Type 1 diabetes through research, collaboration, and innovation. By fostering a robust data ecosystem that includes patient-reported outcomes, clinical insights, and real-world evidence, T1DX drives advancements in care and treatment through intentional quality improvement. T1DX and RTA are partnering to develop data tools that support both T1DX members and D-Data Dock users and will eventually help more organizations integrate and use diabetes device data.

Diabetes Technology Society: Diabetes Technology Society (DTS) is a nonprofit organization committed to promoting development and use of technology in the fight against diabetes. DTS’s mission is to spearhead collaborative efforts among experts in academia, clinical practice, industry, and government to accelerate the development of practical diabetes-related technologies. In 2021, DTS launched the iCoDE Project (Integration of Continuous Glucose Data into the Electronic Health Record), a groundbreaking initiative that establishes standards for seamlessly incorporating continuous glucose monitoring data into electronic health records and published the first set of CGM-EHR integration standards in 2022. The iCoDE integration standards are a key part of RTA’s dissemination strategy for the D Data Dock.

NCQA: The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving healthcare quality through measurement, transparency, and accountability. As a Rising T1DE Alliance advisory board member, NCQA brings expertise in developing evidence-based standards and performance metrics that guide the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. Their insights help ensure that our innovations align with best practices and drive meaningful improvements in outcomes for individuals with Type 1 diabetes.

Helmsley Charitable Trust: The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust is a global philanthropy dedicated to improving lives today and creating healthier futures through strategic investments in areas like Type 1 diabetes, rural healthcare and vulnerable populations. Their support has been vital to the Rising T1DE Alliance, helping to tackle challenges in diabetes care by driving data integration and interoperability efforts. Together, we are advancing innovative solutions that empower healthcare organizations to improve patient outcomes and transform diabetes management.

Montana Pediatrics and Big Sky Care Connect: In partnership with Montana Pediatrics and the Health Information Exchange Big Sky Care Connect, the Rising T1DE Alliance is supporting the development of new data-driven diabetes care models that are effective in improving health outcomes for pediatric patients in rural setting across the state of Montana.
